Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear waxing.

For safety, Ear waxing targets only the outer ear and visible hair. We do not wax inside the ear canal. Our technicians follow strict protocols to protect ear health and will assess individual needs before proceeding.

Most clients see smooth, hair-free outer ears for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and extend intervals; results vary with genetics, hormones, and aftercare.

Sensitivity varies, but most clients report brief pinching. Our technicians use gentle wax, quick technique, and pre/post soothing care to minimize discomfort. Applying a warm compress or taking over-the-counter pain relief beforehand can help if you are particularly sensitive.

Piercings outside the canal usually fine if healed; remove jewelry first. Active infections, eczema, or recent ear surgery require postponement. Our staff will consult, assess skin condition, and recommend alternative grooming or refer you to a healthcare professional when necessary.

Avoid heavy lotions, oils, or creams on the area; arrive with clean, dry ears. If you use topical medications, inform us. Light exfoliation a few days before can help, but skip exfoliation within 48 hours to prevent irritation.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, and heavy sweating for 24-48 hours. Keep the area clean, apply a soothing, fragrance-free cream or antiseptic if recommended, and avoid scratching. Contact us if irritation or infection signs appear.
