When performed by trained technicians using proper technique, sideburn waxing rarely causes scarring. Temporary redness or sensitivity can occur; following post-wax aftercare, avoiding sun and exfoliating gently reduces risks. Inform us of skin conditions beforehand.

Clean, dry skin free of lotions or oils is ideal. Allow hair to be about quarter-inch long for proper grip. Avoid retinoids or heavy exfoliation 48–72 hours prior. Arrive with makeup removed for the cleanest, safest waxing.

No — waxing removes hair from the root and typically results in softer, finer regrowth. Perceptions of thickness are often temporary due to uniform regrowth. Regular waxing over time can reduce density and soften hair texture.

Some discomfort is normal but brief. We use numbing techniques, warm wax, and efficient removal to reduce pain. Breathing, relaxed posture, and post-wax cooling gels also help. Discuss pain sensitivity beforehand and we’ll tailor the approach for comfort.

Wait at least 12–24 hours before applying makeup to allow the skin to calm and reduce irritation risk. Use clean brushes, avoid heavy creams or pore-clogging products, and skip direct sun exposure and intense exercise for 24 hours.
